# Add a new procedure item

Add service (procedure) details and charges

**Add a new procedure**

Select **Add** from the main screen under [**Settings/Services and Products**.](https://epona.productfruits.help/en/article/services-and-products)

-   **Type** \- Select **Procedure item**
-   **SKU** \- Not required
-   **Name** \- Name of procedure 
-   **Description** \- description of the procedure

Select **Next**

-   **Unit of Measure** - defaults to each
-   **Sales Account Code** - select the account code the service belongs to
-   **Tax Rate** - inclusive or exclusive of tax
-   **Price** - tax and total automatically calculated
-   **Invoice description** - what needs to appear of the invoice for the billable contact

Select **Next**

**Review the details** entered for the Procedure. If errors are found select **Previous** and make changes. If the information is correct, select **Save** to add the new Procedure.
