# Add a new Location

Add new locations for horse movements

Go to **Settings/Locations** and select the **Add Location** option in the right-hand corner

-   Select **Location type**
    -   **Internal** \- part of the operation where the horses are being cared for.
    -   **External** \- refers to properties owned or managed by others at off-site locations
-   **Name** - Location name e.g. Property, Barn name
-   **Description** - description of the location
-   **Street Address** - address of the location
-   **PIC** - Property Identification Code the eight-character code allocated by the Department of Primary Industries
-   **Facilities** - link paddocks, boxes and other facilities to the location. The facility will have to already exist. To add a new facility, go to Settings/Services and Products/Add
-   Select **Save** to add the location
